The opportunity
Our team at our Henderson facility is seeking a highly experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join their team. As the Purchasing Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring the seamless performance of ordering systems within the organisation. This role merges operational leadership and purchasing experience by embracing best practices, and ensuring the flawless delivery of services or products to support the business.
This is a permanent role, based on a Monday to Friday roster at our Henderson facility.
Your primary responsibilities
* Lead operational purchasing teams towards organisational objectives.
* Enhance and maintain operational systems, processes, and best practices.
* Supervise installation, maintenance, and upgrades of technical infrastructure.
* Work with the operations manager to evaluate supplier performance, enhancing quality and delivery metrics.
* Control supplier costs to ensure profitability.
* liaise with suppliers regards any warranty issues, in conduction with the operations manager.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, and more.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
* Mentor and evaluate staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and external stakeholders.
* Empower and develop employees, aligning with MRL's strategy.
* Promote inclusivity, respect, and effective communication within teams.
* Support a culture that models appropriate behaviours and deliver results.
What is Required?
Our ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a Mining environment.
* Cert IV Business and Administration.
* Attention to detail
* Previous experience in a purchasing role.
* Experience in dealing with overseas suppliers
* Exposure to the Mining industry.
* Leadership experience, and strong time management skills.
* Strong strategic thinking with analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient computer literacy with adaptability to new systems.

Located 23km south of Perth, the MWP facility is the modern office and warehousing facility in the Australian Maine Complex Henderson Western Australia. The site consist of 10,000 square meters of undercover warehousing laydown yard and distribution facility. To service MinRes and client sites.
