Senior Financial Leadership Role
This key leadership role is an opportunity to join a major player in the agricultural sector.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health, risk management, IT capability and infrastructure, and sustainability of the company while considering the unique aspects of the agriculture industry and family-owned businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive financial and tax strategies, forecast financial trends, and analyse financial data to support business decisions specific to the agribusiness and manufacturing sector.
2. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements relevant to the agriculture sector.
3. Create and manage investment and capital expenditure budgets, monitor project progress, cash flows and performance.
4. Active involvement in the executive and management evaluation and mitigation of financial risks such as commodity price risks, foreign exchange risks, weather-related risks, and regulatory challenges that may impact the business.
5. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide transparent financial reporting and ensure alignment on financial goals.
6. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track the company's performance.
7. Lead, coach and develop the finance team to be a highly respected business partner for the organisation.
8. Lead, coach and develop the Financial IT team and capabilities.
What We Are Looking For:
9. CA or CPA qualified with minimum 10 years experience in Accounting and Finance roles.
10. Strong numerical and financial analysis skills.
11. Experience in tax management including working with and managing the relationship with government agencies.
12. Demonstrative experience in working in an agile and adaptive work environment.
13. Confidence to work in a multi-generational family-owned business.
14. Strong listening skills coupled with emotional intelligence behaviours.
