Randstad is currently seeking experienced, passionate professionals for a senior leadership role dedicated to regional disaster relief and recovery. These individuals will lead operational planning to help Victorian communities rebuild and emerge stronger after major emergencies.
About your new role
The Senior Regional Planning Officers will be responsible for leading the planning and operational delivery of relief and recovery efforts during and after emergency events. You will serve as a critical link between the state and local communities to ensure support is timely, effective, and "community-centred".
What you will need to exceed
* You will drive regional relief and recovery coordination, ensuring state, municipal, and community priorities are aligned during and after emergency events
* You must forge and maintain deep connections with government agencies, local councils, and non-government organizations to ensure a unified approach to recovery.
* You will be responsible for preparing high-quality operational reports for executives and offering expert advice on sensitive or highly complex business matters.
* You will proactively research and solve emerging recovery problems by collaborating with peers and ensuring all actions comply with statutory responsibilities and government policy.
* You must actively identify and mitigate emerging risks that impact the government, the department, and the safety of the community.
* You will be required to keep meticulous records of all work activities, adhering strictly to legislative requirements, privacy standards, and information security policies.
Must have
* Drivers Licence
* A tertiary qualification in emergency management, community services, or business management is highly desirable
