About The Role
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric Orthopaedic Team at Western Health in the Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
Working in the paediatric team, you will use your paediatric othopaedic physiotherapy skills to deliver best care to a variety of complex client cohorts. The role includes an outpatient caseload of fracture management, orthopaedic injury management, post-surgical care, and rehabilitation, as well as early assessment on the maternity ward of suspected brachial plexus palsy, congenital foot conditions, congenital plagiocephaly and torticollis and hip concerns. You will also work in our paediatric aquatic physiotherapy service in our on-site hydrotherapy pool. The Paediatric team has a strong focus on patient-centred and goal directed care across the Multidisciplinary team, achieving excellent outcomes for patients and their families.
You will be well supported by experienced Grade 3 and Grade 4 Paediatric Physiotherapists and encouraged to participate in professional development, implementing evidence-based practice, and service improvement projects. About You
* Have well developed clinical skills for working with children and families in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
* Have experience in supervising both staff and students
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary teams
* Ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care framework
