The Social & Innovation team helps clients to ideate and successfully orchestrate progressive socially led campaigns, ensuring best practices are applied each and every time to influencer marketing, emerging technology, social media strategy and digital collaborations.
This role offers an opportunity to provide leadership across a broad range of verticals and industry-leading OMG clients, including: Unilever, PepsiCo, ANZ, VWGroup, Tennis Australia, and Virgin Australia. The Director of Social and Innovation will have responsibility for fostering and leading relationships with a number of internal teams and external clients on behalf of DRUM, proactively guiding them through areas they can be unfamiliar with, aiming to become a trusted advisor.

Reporting Structure
- Reporting to Director of Social & Innovation, DRUM AU
- You will be responsible for your own projects and have day-to-day support from DRUM AU staff
- You will be responsible for the training of junior staff members in Social & Innovation best practice
- You will be working alongside PHD & Foundation client account teams, the trading community and other specialist services within the agency and OMG group to deliver brand campaigns
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to the team's unified product approach, methodology, marketing collateral and training
- You will be required to have a solid understanding of the social media landscape, behavioural trends and the and technical know-how to work across all relevant platforms within this ever-evolving area.
- Manage your team's Social product including implementation, quality of outputs, reporting, and day to day invoicing and billing.
- Develop, support and motivate Executives and Assistants where applicable.
- Engage with clients to ensure they are satisfied with their day to day product experience. Work closely with your Account Director and the relevant business teams to ensure clients objectives are met.
- Contribute to pitches, proposals, case studies & knowledge share sessions as needed.
- Stay on top of industry research, competitive landscape information, trade intelligence, and educate the wider group as relevant.
- Build strong relationships with the media, key clients, third party planners, and senior leadership team at PHD.
**Required Experience**:
- 3 + years' relevant industry experience with a keen interest and understanding for the role of social media and digital innovation and creativity
- Experience working in a social media role within a media agency, or media partner, would be advantageous
- Demonstrable competency of strategic thinking and ideation at all stages of the social life cycle
- A passionate and compassionate leader, able to oversee and inspire teams from planning through to execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you are active, engaged, and responsive and encourage constructive dialogue in all comms
