Casual position
Responsibilities will include:
- Meeting our clients' individual needs in the least restrictive way possible;
- Mentoring clients and assisting them to gain and develop skills
- Being a positive role model and provide positive support to our clients' in areas such as emotional behaviour, assistance with personal care and hygiene, transport, education, cooking and domestic duties;
- Assisting in dispensing client medication and adherence to client support plans;
- Manual handling;
- Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports;
- Managing complex and challenging client behaviors (including aggressive behaviours);
- Supporting our clients to engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities;
- Nurturing dignity, autonomy and positive self-esteem.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
- Current drivers licence (mandatory requirement);
**Mandatory requirement**
- Current First Aid Certificate (mandatory requirement);
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (mandatory requirement);
- Preferably previous experience supporting people concerns and needs;
- Basic computer literacy (training provided on our systems).
- Be willing and available for call in shifts.
