As an Accounts Payable Administrator you will:
•Process, verify, and reconcile supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
•Manage payments to suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contract terms and Australian tax regulations (GST, BAS, etc.).
•Liaise with project coordinators, managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
•Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure proper documentation.
•Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
•Reconcile supplier statements and address outstanding issues.
•Reconcile Credit card statements
•Assist with month-end closing procedures, including accruals and reporting.
•Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations, including ATO requirements.
•Support the finance team with ad hoc duties as required.
•You will be successful in the role if you:
•Previous experience in accounts payable with focus in construction/ contractors.
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and compliance requirements in Australia.
•Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or Procore
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
•High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and processing.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
