This is an exciting opportunity to join CHWC during a period of significant growth, with the expansion of maternity services to include a new Maternity Assessment Unit alongside the Birthing Unit and a dedicated Early Pregnancy Unit within the Antenatal and Gynaecology Unit, creating diverse opportunities for midwives to join the team that best aligns with their skills and interests.

Our maternity service offers a range of care models focused on woman- and family-centred care, where choice, continuity and self-determination are valued, and care is tailored to each woman's social, emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual and cultural needs. The maternity department is dynamic and forward-thinking, with a strong commitment to innovation and modern midwifery practice, supported by a tertiary neonatal service including NICU, Special Care Nursery and ACT NETS.
Reporting to the Clinical Midwifery Manager, the Registered Midwife Level 2 provides clinical leadership within the unit, supporting staff to deliver safe, high-quality care while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and women and families.
