Established Trawling fishing company working the Australian Fishing Zones, seeks the following full‐time fishing industry positions: Ships Master, Ships Engineer, Master Fisher, Ships Officer, Deckhands & Fishing Hands, Seafood Processors.
This company maintains a drug & alcohol‐free workplace; employees may be subject to random drug & alcohol testing. This is a condition of employment. You will be based in the above region but may be required to work in other locations subject to operational requirements.

Successful candidates should ideally have at least 5 years of relevant experience for ranked positions. Sea time of less than 5 years may be considered subject to your experience. Where a license or registration is required, you must hold the appropriate tickets or you will not be considered.
Fishing and Deckhands should have no less than 1 year's Australian work experience, evidenced by sea‐time or log book. Verifiable letters of reference may also be acceptable. All positions require verifiable references. The roles involve working on deck, often in heavy seas and cramped spaces; ranked positions may include managing fishing operations aboard the vessel in consultation with the company owners.
You will be away from home for several days or occasionally weeks, usually with a short turnaround before returning to sea.
For successful candidates, salary or percentage of catch rate per industry standards will be negotiated according to qualifications, skills, experience and performance in a similar occupation.
Annual salary ranges (full time):
* Ship's Master: $120,000.00 or greater, subject to negotiation
* Ships Engineer (Fishing): $72,000 to $85,000
* Master Fisher: $75,000 to $87,000
* Ship's Officer: $72,000 to $85,000
* Deck and Fishing Hands: $68,800 or in excess of $80,000
Seafood Processors
We are seeking highly experienced seafood process workers for full‐time and seasonal vacancies. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a seafood processor with verifiable references is required.
* Assist in unloading of fresh seafood product from vessels
* Move various seafood product to chillers, freezers, and live tanks
* Sorting, dressing and filleting fish while maintaining a high recovery rate
* Sorting, cleaning and retrieving meat from shellfish and crustaceans
* Loading seafood products into trucks
* Packing boned and filleted seafood into cartons
* Inspecting, grading fish and shellfish for size and quality
* Packing fish and counting packs before freezing, and packing frozen fish blocks into cartons
* Operating machines that slice, peel, skin, crumb and package seafood product
* Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
* Ensuring all workplace safety regulations are complied with
Wages for Seafood Processors
The salary for this full‐time position is between $68,800 and in excess of $80,000 per year plus superannuation guarantee for highly experienced industry workers.
