 
        
        Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS is a multi-service not-for-profit, with a mission to enhance the quality of people's lives by providing services which enable them to live with dignity and respect.
MSS has an opportunity for a full-time Manager Human Resources to join our Human Resources team based in Taree. The position is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with the option of a 9-day fortnight).
This role supports the Director Human Resources and is responsible for managing a small team of HR staff by providing direction and leadership, implementing team operational goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems and supporting the Director Human Resources where needed.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
 * Participate in strategic HR planning
 * Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
 * Provide advice on Awards, Fair Work conditions and employment relations
 * Oversee MSS recruitment, orientation, and induction processes
Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
 * Tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience in Human Resources
 * Current NSW provisional or full driving licence
 * Use of a suitable, reliable vehicle that has current NSW registration and third-party property damage insurance
 * Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or willingness to get one
 * Sound knowledge of HR legislation, practices, and trends
 * Ability to interpret agreements, Awards, and legislation
 * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff and external partners
 * Demonstrated experience in managing a team
 * Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment
 * Demonstrated experience using HR systems with strong technology skills
 * Experience in advising managers on employee relations, performance management, grievance, and misconduct matters, with demonstrated experience in conducting workplace investigations
 * Experience developing and delivering training to teams and individuals
Desirable Qualifications and Requirements:
 * Knowledge of aged care, home care, or community service sectors

 * High level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly
 * Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also work effectively independently
