About the role
Join the processing team at the Peak Gold Mine as a Process Technician / Mill Operator and help turn raw ore into gold and metal concentrates. This is a hands‐on role working in an outdoor, physical environment where safety, teamwork, and consistency are key.
Responsibilities
* Monitor equipment, check gauges and pumps, and report any issues.
* Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance tasks.
* Assist with sampling, inspections, and routine operational checks.
* Follow clear procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Roster: 7/7 rotating day/night. Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW. This position is only available for Cobar residents, offering a residential allowance and a family‐friendly 7 days on / 7 days off roster.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
* Ability to follow procedures consistently and work independently.
* Positive attitude to physical outdoor work and practical tasks.
* Initiative, resourcefulness, integrity and good organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Desirable
* Working knowledge of crushing, grinding, flotation and gold processing equipment and technologies.
* Experience interpreting data and reporting on operational performance.
Prior processing or mining experience is not required; full training will be provided for motivated local applicants.
