Position Title: Instrument Technician

Classification: IN5 - Instrument Tech G5

Salary per hour: $ superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 36 to 62 hours per fortnight

Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement

Role description

Are you an experienced Instrument Technician looking to take the next step in your career?

As a Grade 5 Instrument Technician, you will:

* Perform all duties related to the processing, autoclaving, and distribution of sterile supplies to internal and external customers with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
* Actively assist in the supervision of CSSD staff, including:

* Training and mentoring team members

* Supporting performance management
* Orienting new staff to the unit

* Work under the guidance of the Operating Suite Unit Manager while contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

About you

* Certificate IV in Sterilisation services or equivalentGrade 5
* Extensive experience in CSSD operations and instrument processing
* Strong knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control practices
* Leadership skills with the ability to train and support staff
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
