About The Role
The Breakfast Creek Hotel, an iconic Brisbane institution, is about to unleash a spectacular, brand new dining area centered around an outdoor wood-fired pizza operation. We're not just aiming to be good; we're aiming to be THE best pizza destination in Queensland. We need a Head Pizza Chef to lead the charge.
This isn't just a job; it's a chance to build a legacy. You'll be the architect of our pizza program, leading a new team, developing the menu, and setting the standard for excellence from day one.
A Day In The Life Of a Head Chef
- Command the pizza kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable
- Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team
- Share your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team
- Keep the connection between the kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food every shift
About You
- A Pizza Visionary: Someone who lives and breathes dough, sauce, and fire.
- Proven High Volume Expertise: You must have extensive, hands-on experience managing a high-volume wood-fired oven and kitchen, maintaining top quality under intense pressure.
- The Leader & Mentor: Ability to train, inspire, and manage a team of passionate chefs, from junior to sous-level.
- Obsessed with Quality: You know the difference between great ingredients and the best ingredients.
- A Passionate Professional: Technical skill is non-negotiable, but your passion for pizza and its perfect execution, is what will set you apart.
