Lead Culturally Safe Cancer Care in North West Queensland!
Join the Mount Isa Cancer Care Unit and work in partnership with the McGrath Foundation to support culturally safe cancer care for patients across North West Queensland. Cultural identity, lived experience, and community connection are foundational to this role. About The Role
This role is a vital step toward improving cancer outcomes and experiences for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples by embedding cultural safety and community connection into cancer care delivery. If a First Nations (identified) applicant does not have formal qualifications in cancer care or cancer nursing experience, it is acknowledged that the McGrath Foundation and the Health Service will support them through mentoring, education and financial assistance in obtaining postgraduate qualifications in cancer nursing. You will commence in the role within the McGrath Foundation Associate Pathway and will receive clinical & cultural support and guidance from the Foundation's First Nations Nurse Clinical Lead & Educator.
