This is a full time position living and working in Alice Springs, relocation assistance will be included as part of the package, if applicable.

Community Housing Central Australia (CHCA) is an Aboriginal controlled, not-for-profit, Tier 2 registered community housing provider (CHP) based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

Established by the Tangentyere Council in 2009, their mission is to improve people's lives by providing safe and affordable homes, with a key focus on addressing the housing problems faced by many Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory. CHCA currently manage 530 social and affordable housing homes including those within the Alice Springs Town Camps and have ambitious growth plans with a number of new development projects underway.

The Assets and Capital Projects Manager (ACPM) is a newly established, exciting role in response to CHCA's housing growth and strategic direction. Reporting the Chief Executive Officer, as an integral member of the Senior Management team you will be responsible for the development and delivery of CHCA's strategic asset and facilities management policy and delivery program.

In addition, you will be responsible for driving organisational excellence and will also take a lead role in overseeing growth projects for CHCA including the management or ownership transfer of properties and new construction or acquisition. Candidates with current or previous residential building and or project management experience will be highly regarded.

As the ACPM, you will have an impressive background in program and contract management within either community housing, social housing or the homelessness sector at a leadership level, along with a tertiary qualification in a relative field. You will have proficiency around stakeholder engagement and development, excellent communication skills and highly developed people management and analytical skills.

The successful candidate will also have an excellent awareness, understanding and sensitivity towards Aboriginal culture and law, along with the proven ability and experience to communicate proficiently with Aboriginal people across all levels.
