What You'll Be Doing
The Oral Health Therapist provides dental therapy and dental hygiene care to patients within the limits of their formally attained scope of practice.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist.
- Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills.
- A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care.
- Evidence of continued professional development in evidence based dentistry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems, word processing software and clinical software and hardware including electronic patient records and digital imaging.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the team.
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
