About the Role
The Senior IT Systems & Infrastructure Lead will take end-to-end ownership of IT operations, infrastructure, and systems management across the group. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with responsibility for ensuring robust IT performance, security, and service delivery.
This position is designed for a proactive IT professional looking to step into a management role down the track, with the opportunity to shape future IT strategies.
Key Responsibilities Strategic IT Operations
* Oversee the stability, security, and scalability of IT systems across multiple business units.
* Provide input into IT strategy, roadmaps, and future-state infrastructure planning.
* Lead the implementation of key projects, including cloud transitions, cybersecurity enhancements, and new workplace technologies.
Infrastructure & Systems Leadership
* Manage and optimise servers, networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
* Drive improvements to system performance, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
* Evaluate new technologies and vendors to support ongoing digital transformation.
Support & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the senior escalation point for technical issues, ensuring swift resolution.
* Partner with business leaders to deliver technology solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
* Champion a culture of IT excellence by mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge.
Governance, Risk & Security
* Oversee user access, identity management, and data security controls.
* Work with external partners and internal risk teams to strengthen cybersecurity posture.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards across all IT systems.
Vendor & Financial Oversight
* Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and contract performance.
* Oversee IT procurement, licensing, and asset lifecycle management.
* Contribute to IT budget planning and cost optimisation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in IT systems administration, operations, or infrastructure.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
* Demonstrated success in leading IT projects and delivering enterprise-wide improvements.
* Strong vendor management, commercial awareness, and cost-control experience.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner at all levels.
