Job Description
As a highly motivated Painting and Decorator Apprentice in Brisbane, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified painter.
The role involves working on various painting projects, from preparation of surfaces to application of coats of paint, glossing finishes, and working at heights on ladders and trestles.
* Preparation of surfaces: Ensuring all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from old coatings or other contaminants before applying paint or other finishes.
* Cutting in around edges: Using a brush to carefully apply paint along edges and corners without getting it on adjacent areas.
* Rolling on coats of paint: Applying uniform coats of paint using a roller for large areas.
* Spray painting using specialized equipment: Operating spray painting equipment to apply smooth, even finishes.
* Glossing finishes: Applying high-gloss finishes to various surfaces.
* Working at heights on ladders and trestles: Safely working at heights on ladders and trestles to complete tasks efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
