Home Haemodialysis Nurse Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Haemodialysis Nurse to join our Renal Home Therapies Unit, where autonomy, education, and clinical excellence come together to support patients undergoing home haemodialysis.
As an RHTU Nurse, you will work both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to assess, train, and support patients transitioning to home-based dialysis. Your role will be vital in building strong patient relationships, troubleshooting treatment challenges, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective care beyond the hospital walls.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Train and educate patients to safely perform haemodialysis within their own home
* Provide remote counselling and in-person support, including cannulation and clinical issue management
* Coordinate care plans and communicate clearly across the MDT
* Promote culturally sensitive, patient-centred engagement and appropriate escalation
* Participate actively in continuous learning and collaborative problem solving
About the Role:
* This is a permanent full-time or part-time position with up to 38 hours per week
* The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in haemodialysis nursing with strong critical thinking and care planning skills
* Ability to assess clinical situations and implement safe, effective solutions
* Professional communication skills, with empathy and respect for diverse backgrounds
* A current driver's licence for home visit relief
