Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Assistant Director Learning & Development on a contract for 6 months.
**Position Overview**
The EL1 Learning and Development is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA.
The position is an important team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the position's assigned Work Area.
The EL1 Learning and Development is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA's interests across a range of forums.
The position will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the NDIA's objectives to 'build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme'.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrating a high level of instructional design capability in the analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning and development solutions including:
- developing capability plans and learning architecture
- facilitator guides,
- team leader presentation packs,
- participant guides/workbooks,
- self-paced guides and
- eLearning modules.
- Providing expert specialist advice on the learning and development programs and functions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress of projects and following through to deliver quality outcomes, including needs analysis, vendor relationship management, learning design and facilitation, eLearning and inductions.
- Actively managing stakeholders and ensuring project deliverables are on time and meet agreed needs.
- Preparing and reviewing draft learning documents, guidelines, reports, briefing papers, talking points and discussion papers for presentation to senior staff and the Senior Executive.
- Representing NDIA at professional and technical training and development forums.
- Undertaking and supervising the procurement of training programs via external providers
