Primary objective
Provide specialist and effective service delivery pertaining to supply chain operations for Department of Health and external
clients.

performing to achieve outcomes within strict timelines.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Timely processing of Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Credit Card transactions for clients within Department of Health.
2. Ensure that all transactions are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Acts, Regulations and
Directions.
3. Liaise with Suppliers and clients on purchase orders status, including expected delivery timeframes and disputed invoices.
4. Process purchase order related documents within the relevant Purchase order applications/systems and processing of
invoices in a timely manner.
5. Follow defined service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures relating to the
work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated data entry skills to a high standard of thoroughness and attention to detail
2. Demonstrable experience providing a client focussed service; good communication and interpersonal skills to interact
with a range of people at all levels and diverse cultures in an effective, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
3. Good organisational and time management skills, the demonstrated ability to handle high volumes of work, cope with
multiple tasks and work effectively with minimum supervision; individually and/or in a team, whilst maintaining
compliance with procedures, policies and guidelines
4. Current knowledge and/or experience in procurement, purchasing or related field in a large complex environment.
5. Proven ability in the use of procurement and office based computing applications including word processing,
spreadsheets and data base information systems.
6. Hold a current Northern Territory (NT) driver’s licence or ability to obtain.
Desirable
1. Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Procurement or related business disciplines e.g. Cert IV Procurement and Contracting.
2. Knowledge of legislation governing procurement in the Public Sector, including policies, procedures and guidelines
