Overview
Genus Infrastructure is seeking Crane Operators to work on a local utility Network Facilitating Pole Changes on a 10:4 roster. The Crane Operator’s purpose is to safely lift, move, position or place machinery, equipment and other large objects at various sites in accordance with the employee’s appointed Entity/Team Project goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice in crane operations to the project team.
- Inspect machines and equipment daily, perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary.
- Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site.
- Provide additional support to other crane operators as necessary, to complete tasks, operating several types of equipment and training or monitoring junior operators.
- Maintain high level of responsibility of plant and equipment to prevent overuse and promote longevity.
Essential Requirements/Skills/Qualifications
- Demonstrated positive safety record and knowledge of Work Health & Safety.
- Valid Driver’s Licence – “HR” Class.
- 3+ years’ experience in Crane Operation.
- CPR Certificate.
- WHS Construction Safety Induction White Card.
- High Risk Licence applicable to the equipment: non-slewing mobile cranes (CN), Slewing mobile cranes (C2).
- Willingness and ability to travel to other depots or worksites to complete project work as required.
- Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
