Join AIA's Retail Business as a Pricing Actuary or Pricing Specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Pricing. In this role you will play a key part in shaping pricing and product decisions that support AIA's strategic goals in the Retail channel. You will contribute to the design, enhancement and ongoing review of products that are sustainable, profitable and customer focused, while ensuring they remain competitive in the market and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality pricing and profit testing for new business and inforce repricing, supporting strong commercial outcomes in the Retail channel.
* Translate complex pricing analysis into clear, practical insights for both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.
* Contribute to innovative pricing, product and modelling improvements that enhance pricing intelligence and optimise profitability.
* Provide informed input into Retail life product design, terms and conditions and reinsurance, using experience analysis to support sound assumptions.
* Build trusted partnerships across Product, Distribution, Finance, Retention and Pricing, positioning Retail Pricing as a valued business partner.
Qualifications
* Fellowship or near qualification with the Australian Institute of Actuaries, or an equivalent professional body, with proven actuarial experience in life insurance.
* Strong technical capability across actuarial systems and coding tools such as R, SQL, Python, Prophet, Montoux and advanced Microsoft Excel.
* A track record of ownership and accountability, showing initiative and effective management of stakeholder expectations.
* Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources to form sound recommendations; knowledge of the Australian retail insurance market is an advantage.
