Student Support Officer – Keebra Park State High School
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Officer to join our Engagement team.
In this pivotal role you will collaborate with students, families, and staff to enhance student well-being and academic outcomes, providing individual and group support, implementing well-being programs, offering behaviour support, and acting as a liaison between the school and external support services.

About the Role
As a Student Support Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing student well-being and academic outcomes through collaboration with students, families, teachers and external support services.
Key Responsibilities
Build and sustain positive relationships with students, families, and community members to ensure optimal outcomes.
Monitor student behaviour and well-being to identify issues and organise intervention strategies.
Lead initiatives to foster a positive and supportive school environment.
Liaise with families and conduct home visits to encourage school attendance and motivate students.
Act as an independent mediator to enhance communication between the school, students, families, and the community.
What We're Looking For
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in developing and implementing well-being or behaviour support programs.
Ability to innovate and manage data systems to inform intervention strategies.
Understanding of educational, social, emotional, or behavioural challenges faced by students.
Team-oriented approach with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
