We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team.
About the Role
This rewarding role allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals, helping them live with dignity, purpose, and joy. You will provide daily living assistance, social engagement, and overall wellbeing support to residents and community clients.
* Support individuals to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities
* Facilitate engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilities
* Assist with transport and mobility to and from activities (if required)
* Monitor and report any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff
* Maintain accurate documentation and care/activity records
* Promote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions
* Work collaboratively with the care team, families, and allied health professionals
* Completion of Allied Health/Therapy Assistant course (desirable)
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate
* Manual handling and infection control training
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementia
* Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settings
* Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
* Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity
