The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Assistant to join the team at Broadmeadows
You will be responsible for:
General Duties
* Perform basic QC tasks to ensure parts meet business quality standards
* Scanning, taking photos and labelling of automotive parts
* Package and wrap parts for transport to warehouse
* Load stillages with parts and stillage on to transfer truck
* Assist with stock and consumables counts
* Using scanners to ensure all parts are located correctly
* Ensure parts are collected from Dismantlers in a timely manner
* Ensure appropriate PPE worn and work area is kept clean
* Assist in washing Engines, Transmissions and other parts
* Assist in draining Fuel Buggies into allocated Fuel IBCs
* General yard and forklift duties as required
The successful candidate will have the following:
Specialist Knowledge
* MUST HAVE - Forklift licence
* Knowledge of mechanical car parts and panels
* Understanding of the long-term goals and aspirations of the organisation
Experience & Skills
* Experience in yard maintenance
* Problem solving
* Able to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Strong written communication skills
* Able to professionally represent the organisation
