Due to a high volume of projects - they are looking to add an experienced Fire Services Designer to their team
About the role:
As a Fire Services Designer, you will play a key role in designing fire protection systems for a wide range of projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to create customized fire protection solutions that adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and project specifications.
* Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems
* Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for designing fire safety solutions.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
* Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
* Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address their concerns and provide technical expertise.
* Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in designing fire protection systems, working for a contractor
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and Hyena for hydraulic calculations
* Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
