About The Role
RSM Albury is seeking an experienced, client‐focused Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent, full‐time basis.
As a Senior Accountant, you will go beyond traditional number‐crunching, providing valuable insights that help clients thrive. In this role you will analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, and maintain meticulous records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial activities for the firm's clients.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Prepare financial statements that comply with all current legal and accounting reporting standards;
* Apply your knowledge of the clients' business environment and industry positioning to deliver tailored advice;
* Prepare clear, concise and accurate work papers that serve as evidence of work performed and form the foundation for decision making;
* Support clients with everyday Xero enquiries and issues;
* Apply basic tax compliance procedures;
* Assist with tax planning for clients;
* Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts;
* Complete requisite regulatory forms;
* Comply with the lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.

About You
To be considered for this position you will possess the following:
Essential
* Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major;
* 2+ years in a similar role;
* Strong communication skills;
* Strong attention to detail;
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Desirable
* Completed or working toward a CA or equivalent qualification;
* Previous experience using Xero Software.
Eligibility to work permanently in Australia is required for this role. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
