Role Overview:
* Lead the technical design of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) power projects.
* Provide technical governance for retrofit and modernization of MV/LV distribution switchgears and circuit breakers. This will involve activities such as, but not limited to: creating Bill of Materials (BOM), wiring diagrams, GA's, SLD's, CT/VT calculations,etc.
* Provide engineering support for our Workshop and Sales teams.
* Travel to our workshop, near Brisbane airport, regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Execution: Take full responsibility of the design of MV/LV power projects to deliver innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
* Engineering Support: Provide technical support for retrofit solutions, custom retrofit, and modernization of MV/LV distribution switchgears and circuit breakers.
* Business Growth: Coordinate project-based work to ensure the growth of the EcoFit business.
* System Modernization: Modernize electrical distribution systems, optimizing costs and extending the life of installations.
* Legacy Equipment: Provide technical governance on refurbishing legacy equipment or similar projects.
Skills & Experience Required:
*
o Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with MV/LV distribution systems.
o Technical Skills: Proficiency in the technical aspects of retrofit and modernization of MV/LV switchgears and circuit breakers, and refurbishment of legacy equipment. This includes secondary design and providing technical expertise during all phases of the project lifecycle (selling stages, execution phase, closure of project).
o Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
o Travel: Own transport and full drivers licence.
o Communication: Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
o Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
o Accreditation: Registered Professional in Queensland (RPEQ).
