About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader in this extremely fast paced business environment, the role will take ownership and effectively manage a segment of the Aged Debt Ledger within the Customer portfolio. You will work within a One team partnering model, building strong and positive support and service relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Pivotal to the role will be a professional customer centric and risk based analytical approach in managing the ledger, to optimise collections via prompt follow up, dispute resolution and account reconciliation efficiencies, to ensure efficient and timely collection of cash in line with Cash Forecasts and targeted DSO.
In addition you should have a mindset of identifying continuous improvement strategies for the ongoing enhancement of the function.
You will be responsible for:
5. Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on overdue accounts
6. Surveillance & Reporting of Late stage debt and Default accounts
7. Prepare and Issue Stop Credit & Hold Lists
8. Limit exposure Lists
9. Weekly/Monthly Cash Inflow forecasts in line with targets
10. Review of Account progressing to Late stage and Default
11. Analysis of payment performance and probability of default
12. Daily Credit Reports
13. Make timely credit decisions and endorsements aligned to HANZ Credit policy.
14. Proactive Collection strategy to secure sound Debt repayment plans to maximize collection and minimise doubtful debt
15. Prepare credit submissions and recommendations for review
16. High standard of investigative and drill down skills in identifying root cause and corrective actions and closing out bottlenecks in aged debt triggered by Claims and Disputes
17. Major account / projects claims and reconciliation.
To be successful in this role you will have:
18. Diploma in Credit or Tertiary qualifications in Business (Desirable but not essential)
19. Demonstrated commercial Credit Control experience
20. Ability to manage major accounts
21. Strong end to end process experience
22. Proficient in the use of the Google (Intermediate)
23. Previous experience with SAP Systems (Preferable)
24. Intermediate Excel skills
25. Strong administration and analytical skills
26. Proven Negotiation and influencing skills
27. Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
28. Strong Interpersonal and Professional business communication skills
29. Self-motivated and outcomes-orientated with a passionate ‘can do'/adaptable mind set
