Security Clearance: Baseline required (eligible for NV1)
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer / Software Engineer to play a key role in a large, multi-year federal digital transformation program. You'll work on modernising enterprise platforms that support critical services, with real influence over how solutions are designed, built, and evolved.
You'll join a mature, agile delivery team that values clean engineering, automation, and continuous improvement—not just ticket throughput. If you enjoy solving complex problems, improving platforms at scale, and working with people who care about quality, this role will suit you.
-----------------------------------
What You'll Actually Be Doing
* Designing and building scalable, production-grade ServiceNow solutions
* Developing with JavaScript, Flow Designer, UI Builder, Business Rules, and modern platform features
* Creating and improving workflows, integrations, and automated processes
* Enhancing Service Portal experiences (widgets, UI, performance, usability)
* Collaborating closely with analysts, designers, and engineers to turn complex requirements into clean solutions
* Improving platform performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability
* Troubleshooting issues deeply — not just patching symptoms
* Contributing to technical standards, documentation, and platform best practices
* Staying ahead of ServiceNow releases and applying new capabilities where they add real value
-----------------------------------
What We're Looking For
* Strong hands-on experience developing and customising ServiceNow at an enterprise level
* Solid JavaScript skills across server-side and client-side development
* Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HR, or Service Portal
* Confidence working with workflows, UI policies, business rules, and integrations
* Understanding of ITIL principles and service management concepts
* Experience working in agile delivery environments
* Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* A mindset focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement
-----------------------------------
Desirable (But Not Mandatory)
* ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM or similar)
* Experience in large enterprise or government transformation programs
* Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
* Curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
-----------------------------------
Why This Role Stands Out
* Long-term transformation program — not a short, stop-gap contract
* Real technical ownership and influence over platform direction
* Work with a capable, multidisciplinary agile team
* Exposure to modern ServiceNow capabilities, not just legacy support
* Hybrid working with flexibility around location
