Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time on-site position for an NDIS Support Worker, located in Katoomba, NSW. The NDIS Support Worker will assist clients in achieving their goals and promoting independence by providing personalized care. Responsibilities include offering support with daily activities, assisting with community access, enabling social participation, and ensuring a safe and supportive living environment. A key focus will be on building positive relationships with clients and their families, as well as collaborating with other care providers to deliver high-quality care.
Qualifications
* Effective communication and active listening skills to build strong relationships with clients and their families
* Experience in providing personal care, household tasks, and assistance with daily living activities
* Ability to support clients in community access and fostering social inclusion
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to individual client needs
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
* Current first aid certification and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Valid Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Experience working with NDIS participants is an advantage
