About the role
At Polite Playground, we're seeking an experienced and creative Event Producer to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. Based in our Chippendale office in Sydney, you'll play a pivotal role in producing engaging and impactful events and activations that exceed client expectations.
You'll be responsible for producing best-in-class brand experiences from brief to bump-out. Working closely with our accounts, creative, and digital teams, you'll ensure every activation is delivered seamlessly, safely, and with a high standard of creativity and authenticity.
What you'll be doing
* Collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders to plan and deliver brand activations, roadshows, pop-ups, and live experiences across retail centres, sporting events, universities, festivals, and public spaces.
* Producing activations in live environments — managing site access, permits, suppliers, staffing, transport, installs, bump-in/bump-out, and on-site execution.
* Working closely with creative and account teams to bring activation concepts to life, ensuring ideas are practical, on-brand, and executable within real-world constraints.
* Overseeing on-site delivery and performance, identifying opportunities to optimise flow, engagement, and audience experience across multi-day or multi-location activations.
* Managing production budgets, timelines, and reconciliations to ensure activations are delivered efficiently, safely, and within scope.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with venues, centre management, councils, suppliers, staffing agencies, and production partners.
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members by sharing best practices in experiential production, live site delivery, and supplier management.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in event production, preferably within the marketing and communications industry.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Creative flair and the ability to conceptualise and deliver innovative event experiences.
* Proficiency in project and event-related software and digital tools, such as interactive technology and project management software.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful events.
* Familiarity with event budgeting and financial management.
Requirements
* Availability 3 days per week, or approx hours per week.
* Availability to work Tues, Wed & Thurs from our Chippendale office is ideal. Open to flexible arrangements that can be agreed to ahead of time.
* Driver's license required, access to a car ideal.
* Temporary visa holders welcome to apply - we are open to offering sponsorship for the right candidate.
