Role Overview:
As a System Administrator – Defence Systems Support, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of complex systems. Your responsibilities will include performing technical activities such as maintenance, testing, and system upgrades. You will also diagnose and repair communications equipment, computer systems, digital signal processing (DSP) equipment, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and upgrade complex systems to ensure optimal performance
* Diagnose and repair faults in communications equipment, computer systems, and digital signal processing equipment
* Operate and handle COMSEC CCI and key material in accordance with security protocols
* Support modification/integration activities and contribute to fault analysis and root cause investigations
* Use test equipment to carry out diagnostic performance analysis on Agile Command and Control systems, radar systems, repairable items, and ground support equipment
* Maintain tool control and comply with all safety and security procedures
* Provide mentoring and technical guidance to team members
Requirements
We are seeking an individual with:
* A trade certificate in Communications and Electronics, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience
* Proven experience working within a highly regulated environment
* A strong background in ICT System Administration, networking, hardware/software management, release and configuration management, and incident management
