We are in the search of a skilled, professional to lead our Workshop Team at our Newcastle Branch.

About Us
We are a family owned and run forklift and access equipment rental and sales company based in Heatherbrae, NSW and other eastern states. Due to internal staff movements a full time position has become available to join our service department.
The Role
The Workshop foreman will complete, delegate and monitor tasks to our team of technicians, so excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills and the ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment are required.
Responsibilities
- An Action Taker;
- Have great organisation skills and be process orientated;
- Thrive on working in a fast paced environment;
- Be able to lead, mentor and effectively manage and supervise the daily operations of the Workshop team;
- Effectively perform or allocate incoming work to ensure that it is completed in an efficient manner to the highest possible standard;
- Ensure customer expectations and quality benchmarks are achieved;
- Ensure accurate completion of all workshop documentation as required by the manufacture and group;
- Have demonstrated prior experience in a similar or relevant role;
- Assist with the implementation and compliance with OHS policies and procedures;
- Be able to work unsupervised and in a team workplace;
- Great attention to detail;
- Have a safety focused mindset.
Preferred candidates
- Mechanical Trade Certificate (Forklift Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or light vehicle);
- Competent IT skills and ability;
- Current drivers licence;
- Forklift licence (desirable);
- Solid understanding of diesel and hydraulics;
- Sense of urgency and can work within time frames.
