About The Role
We are looking for qualified Auto Electricians to join our safety focused and dynamic teams across our Pilbara operations to perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across our extensive fleet of heavy mobile equipment.
This is a great opportunity for highly motivated tradespersons who are looking for a long-term career in mining. The roster will be 8 days on, 6 days off – 7 nights on, 7 nights off shift roster from Perth, Albany, Busselton, Broome or Geraldton.
If you're not currently residing in Western Australia, we will provide relocation from elsewhere in Australia for you and your immediate family, so you can enjoy the incredible lifestyle that our state offers.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Mobile Maintenance Team, you will
* Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all Rio Tinto Iron Ore Company Policies and procedures.
* Conduct preventive maintenance inspections.
* Ensure that maintenance standards are kept at a high quality.
* Identify opportunities for improvement in the equipment or work procedures.
About You
* A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team, coupled with respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset.
* An Australian Auto Electrical Trade Qualification & Air Conditioning Ticket.
* Experience working on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
* Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
* An Australian C class manual Drivers' Licence.
* The right to work in Australia without requiring sponsorship.
