About the Role
We're looking for a Part‐time Administration Assistant who has strong organisational and time‐management skills and can work in unison with the Administration Manager as well as being autonomous. Working three days a week 9am to 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with flexibility to work additional days when required. Key Responsibilities
* Recording Financial Transactions: recording day‐to‐day financial transactions, including purchases, sales and payments into accounting software.
* Reconciling Accounts: reconcile bank and credit‐card statements, store sales and merchant transactions.
* Manage Accounts Receivable: processing wholesale customer sales, reconciling payments and following‐up overdue payments.
* Assist with Accounts Payable: verify and process vendor invoices.
* Processing Inventory Movements: assisting with inventory management, including processing of stock receipts and inventory adjustments from warehouse management system into accounting software.
* Petty Cash Management: manage petty cash accounts, including processing of expenses and reconciliation.
Skills Required
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise work.
* Proficiency in MYOB – intermediate level required.
* Experience with Excel and Microsoft 365 – intermediate Excel proficiency with formulas required.
* Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of accounting principles, including payroll.
* Minimum 5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
* Great interpersonal skills, discretion and confidentiality, and ability to work well with others.
* Well‐defined communication skills, professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
* Excellent problem‐solving skills – ability to find solutions and resolve issues in a calm and timely manner.
* Experience in Retail/Wholesale industry with point‐of‐sale system knowledge beneficial.
