Eckersley's group is seeking a Store Manager for our Underwood store. QLD
The successful applicant must possess sales experience and have a positive 'can-do' attitude. Experience in the art & craft industry would be preferred but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson and be able to share their best practices in order to onboard new employees.
This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily operations of the business to ensure sales goals are met
* Purchasing & visual merchandising
* Liaise with head office to ensure the store runs smoothly and promotions executed effectively
* Rostering & assigning tasks to staff
* Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
* Maintain high levels of customer service

* Develop, schedule, manage and promote instore workshops.
* Building partnerships with local artists, galleries and schools.
* Assist with community events such as OWeek and Krank.
Qualifications
* 1-3 years of retail and retail management experience with a demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson
* Strong customer service, management and communication skills
