What you’ll do
In this role you will be accountable for the end to end development of conceptual designs for store flow and layout in refurbishment and new stores. Through architectural documentation you will ensure the right offer is planned, maximising customer experience whilst meeting business expectations. You will work cross-functionally and collaboratively to identify the right offer targeted to site specifics, supporting capital approval process and support the end-to-end delivery of projects.
This role is primarily responsible for managing projects and stakeholders at a state level which would involve attending stores through all stages of projects, providing technical advice and influence across the state.
10. Delivering planning and documentation outcomes for all new, replacement, acquisition, extension, Renewal projects as well as all business initiatives and planning requirements for any store within the State
11. Extension store plans post approval in conjunction with business categories, ensuring financial viability & construction costs are aligned to launch
12. Developing Renewal documentation from project commencement to launch to meet objectives, budget direction, site-specific needs and direct planning team to achieve end store plan goal
13. Strategic layout planning ensuring the best scheme is developed for all project types with both a commercial and customer lens
14. Managing external consultants required to deliver planning, documentation and store design for these works within budget
15. Providing architectural and technical advice relating to concept, project plans, building and Woolworths standards
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
16. Degree qualifications in architecture will be well regarded, whilst technical architectural drafting or related knowledge/experience is essential
17. Retail planning experience, with design, commercial or financial understanding desirable
18. Excellent people and communication, negotiation and influencing skills
19. An ability to work with design team on how to best implement design in simple and complex stores
20. An ability to demonstrate leadership skills including team organisation, coaching and training.
21. Fluent capability to work in architectural drafting software (Revit)
22. Ability to represent the State Planning Manager at meetings and forums.
