HR & Payroll Coordinator
* Work-Life Balance: 30 – 35 hours per week (Flexible days/hours)
* Location: Regional NSW (Armidale/Tamworth/New England hubs)
* Benefits: NFP Salary Packaging + Supportive Team Environment
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for people? Homes North Community Housing is looking for an organised and proactive HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our team.
In this dual-function role, you will be the backbone of our employee lifecycle and payroll operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety—moving between the technical precision of payroll and the interpersonal nature of HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll for our regional team, ensuring accuracy, compliance with awards, and timely delivery.
* Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead the "first impression" for new starters and manage the exit process with professionalism and care.
* HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and act as the first point of contact for general HR and payroll queries.
* System Management: Utilise ELMO to streamline HR workflows and reporting.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a "can-do" attitude and a high level of discretion. We are looking for:
* Payroll & HR Experience: Demonstrated experience in a dual HR/Payroll role.
* Software Savvy: Previous experience with ELMO Software is highly beneficial and will put you at a distinct advantage.
* Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for detail, especially regarding compliance and data entry.
* Communication Skills: The ability to communicate complex payroll or policy information clearly and empathetically to staff at all levels.
* Community Mindset: A genuine interest in the social housing sector and the mission of Homes North.
If you are ready to use your HR and Payroll skills to make a difference in Regional NSW, we would love to hear from you
