About the role
Join the dynamic team at T and N Auto and Ag' as a Mechanic in our Wellington, NSW 2820 workshop. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring our customers' automotive needs are met efficiently and effectively.
What you'll be doing
1. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in vehicles
2. Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on vehicles
3. Test and inspect vehicle components to identify any issues
4. Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
5. Maintain, test and repair engines and the mechanical parts such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes
6. Diagnosis faults in engines and parts
7. Dismantles / reassemble engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checks parts
8. Repairs and replaces worn and defective parts.
9. Repairs and replaces worn and defective parts and reassembles mechanical components.
10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
11. Ensure a safe and clean work environment at all times
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic in the automotive industry
2. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
3. Working knowledge of vehicle systems and components
4. Ability to use various tools and equipment to repair vehicles
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
6. Effective communication and customer service skills
7. Relevant trade qualifications or certificates
