Position Details
Clinical Director – Women’s and Children’s
Fixed term, full-time, day worker (with on-call), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible for a three-year period. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.

Candidate Profile
We seek a motivated and experienced Clinical Director – Women’s and Children’s, to provide strategic leadership across the North West region. The role involves resource management, service integration, maintaining high standards, and direct clinical care.
The service area supports approximately 116,000 people, with major sites at North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), about 50 km apart. The department offers obstetrics, gynaecology, and paediatric services, including maternity, neonatal, and outreach services at regional centers.
Ideal Candidate
Applicants should have strong generalist O&G or paediatric skills, with a passion for improving healthcare. The role involves leadership in clinical care and education, with ties to the University of Tasmania.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $300,216 - $310,389, subject to criteria fulfillment. Benefits include salary packaging, private vehicle allowance, relocation assistance, leave entitlements, and access to Fitness Passport.

Eligibility and Requirements
* Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
Registration must remain current. Desirable criteria include a current Driver’s Licence.
