About the Role
This hands-on position involves planning, leading and executing testing and commissioning activities for brownfield and greenfield 22kV-500kV Substation projects with a focus on safety and progress alignment with project commissioning schedules.
Main Responsibilities Include:
* Plan and lead testing and commissioning activities for brownfield and greenfield 22kV-500kV Substation projects
* Plan and execute outage activities with a focus on safety and risk management
* Track, report and ensure progress aligns with project commissioning schedule
* Conduct Protection & Control relay testing and IEC61850 system testing
* Primary Plant testing and commissioning including drawing, ITP and defect/RFI management
* Supervise and mentor junior team members
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have significant experience in a similar position having worked on complex brownfield and greenfield substation projects and hold an Advanced Diploma of ESI Power Systems or an Electrical Engineering Degree.
* Experience within Australian transmission/distribution networks
* A strong background in Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) testing and commissioning
* Relevant training and authorisations in line with VESI standards desirable
* Proficient in the operation of Doble and/or Omicron secondary injection test equipment and other primary plant test equipment
* IEC61850 project experience desirable but not essential
