About the role
Cowanna Harvesting is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our team to fill a 12 month Parental Leave Replacement Contract in Merbein, VIC. In this pivotal role, you will provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of our operations. Your strong organisational skills, attention to detail and thorough follow up processes will be essential in this role. If you are willing to empty the dishwasher, write a policy and everything in between, can see what needs doing and just do it, and are a "Yes, I can do that for you" person, then this role is perfect for you.
What you'll be doing
* Provide primary assistance and support to the Operations Officer.
* Assist with planning and coordination of events and activities - Field Days, Conferences, Open Days, Staff Training & Social events
* Manage all shipping data in regard to new machinery into Australia and oversee the procedures required as machinery arrives, maintaining accurate daily records.
* Maintain accurate staff compliance documents (licenses, registrations, etc.)
* Ensure good supply of uniform, merchandise, stationery is available at all times
* Minute taking and preparation of meeting papers.
* Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties as required

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
* Proficient in MS Office suite, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software
* Adaptable - able to change direction as required
* Willing to learn and be part of solutions.
