The Opportunity

We're looking for a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our plant operates at maximum efficiency, reliability, and output. You'll provide expert advice, drive process improvements, and lead the delivery of capital and plant upgrade projects.

Working closely with production, operations, and maintenance teams, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact through technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Proactively monitor and optimise plant operations to maximise output and reliability.

* Recommend and implement process improvements, operational changes, and plant upgrades.

* Lead engineering projects, including cost analysis, contractor management, and safe delivery within budget and timeframes.

* Apply data-driven tools to identify root causes, resolve issues, and improve quality.

* Support preventative maintenance programs and coach maintenance teams to achieve performance and safety outcomes.

* Contribute to operator training and development to build capability across the team.

* Work occasional extended hours and call-ins, particularly during peak periods or urgent operational demands.

About You

You are a motivated engineer who thrives on solving problems, influencing outcomes, and delivering results in a complex plant environment.

You'll bring:

* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Chemical Engineering.

* Practical knowledge of PLCs, PID control, and SCADA systems.

* Strong data analysis, report writing, and presentation skills.

* Ability to manage contractors and deliver projects successfully.

* Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.

* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
