About Our Design Systems Team
ADS is a multi-platform design system providing building blocks for Agoda and white-label partners. We are a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, QA, accessibility experts and a product manager.
The Senior Design Systems Designer at Agoda is responsible for:
As a Senior Design Systems Designer, you will be a key contributor to scale ADS to a best-in-class design system. You will help lay scalable foundations, evolve components, and expand into new areas to unlock quality and efficiency. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional partners and makers across product teams, impacting 1000+ makers at Agoda and millions of customers. You will influence strategy to ensure the system evolves and continues to support product building. You will ship well-crafted and accessible designs that help stakeholders ship products with improved efficiency and quality.
Day to day
Expertise: Build design systems balancing flexibility, scalability, and ease of use. Ensure designs scale across platforms and use cases with reusable patterns.
* Advocating for Quality: Focus on clean, modern UI systems with accessibility considerations and data-guided decision making.
* Collaborate & Evangelize: Work across teams to drive alignment and adoption of design systems; coach mid-level and junior designers.
Senior Design Systems Designer means you have a track record of
* 6+ years of experience in UX, product, or relevant design field
* 3+ years in an explicit design systems role
* User-Centered Design with accessibility
* Knowledge of Design Systems and consistency across large platforms
* Interaction Design with animations and micro-interactions
* Visual Design skills and mastery of typography, color, layout
* Proficiency with tools and systems (Figma, Design Tokens, WCAG)
* Experience collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers
* High-level understanding of frontend concepts (HTML/CSS/JS)
Qualities we value in designers
* Projects showing major systems evolution or expansion
* Experience designing for consumer-facing products
* Visual design skills
* Understanding of technology stacks and their design implications
