Posted Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 2:00 PMBe a key leader in a global engineering consultancy.We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to join our Brisbane team and play a critical role in driving financial strategy, compliance, and operational excellence.As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Manager of HR and Operations (Australia) and have a dotted-line relationship with the CFO in Vancouver. You'll lead accounting operations across Australia and support global initiatives across the KCB Group of Companies.Key Responsibilities:Oversee business unit accounting, AP/AR, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting.Prepare monthly reports and provide insights through variance and performance analysis.Drive budgeting, forecasting, and audit readiness.Ensure compliance in domestic and international tax, liaising with advisors and authorities.Evaluate and enhance internal controls, accounting systems, and related policies.Support offshore entity setup and international financial requirements.Manage insurance procurement and claims.Hire, mentor, and lead the finance team.Collaborate across departments on project proposals and vendor/client due diligence.Provide financial and tax input for contracts and regulatory matters.What We’re Looking For:A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (e.g. commerce, business).Professional accreditation such as CPA or Chartered Accountant.10+ years of accounting experience (preferably in medium to large firms).Strong team leadership and staff development skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills; BST 11 or similar systems is a plus.Solid technical knowledge of GAAP and AASB accounting standards.Public accounting and corporate tax experience highly desirable.International experience, especially in Asia, is an asset.Experience in GL system implementation and automation to enhance process efficiency.Proven ability to manage deadlines, multi-task, and work proactively.Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.What we offer in addition to an exciting role:Competitive remuneration and benefits;Additional Superannuation: 2.5% extra to secure your future;Income Protection Insurance: Peace of mind for you and your family;Parental and Volunteer Leave: Support for your personal and community commitments;Novated Leasing: Flexible vehicle leasing options;Hybrid Working Policy: Balance work and life with our flexible approach;Social and Mental Well-being Initiatives: Programs to support your overall well-being;Training and Development Opportunities: Continuous growth and learning;Additional incentives may be available dependent on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.About Us:KCB Australia Pty Ltd (KCB) is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm providing engineering, geoscience and environmental services globally.
