Purchasing Officer – Temporary Contract - Immediate Start
We're seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to join a caravan manufacturer on a temporary contract (approx. 6 weeks, with potential to extend). You'll help order materials, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Raise and process purchase orders in line with production and inventory needs
* Source materials, parts and services from approved suppliers
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams
* Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure on-time delivery
* Assist with resolving delivery delays, discrepancies or quality issues
* Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information
* Support the Senior Purchasing Officer with reporting and supplier reviews
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in purchasing or procurement support
* Strong organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
* Certificate or Diploma in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management preferred
* Experience in a manufacturing or production environment desirable
* Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory control
