Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Planner will be responsible for developing and executing electrical maintenance plans and developing projects to ensure the ongoing reliability of equipment and machinery at the Manufacturing Plant. This includes working with SAP/Maintenance Software, electrical components and equipment, and the electrical team.
This role requires someone who is highly team oriented to work closely within the maintenance team and wider manufacturing plant.
What you'll do
* Drive a safe behavioural culture and ensure safety compliance for all maintenance tasks.
* Undertake electrical reliability activities to best ensure the long-term reliability of electrical and control systems.
* Supervise and manage electrical staff and trades.
* Assist with day-to-day electrical equipment issues by providing technical support.
* Ensure that best practice maintenance and engineering standards are rigorously applied to tasks and projects that you work on.
* Liaise and work closely with electrical and stores personnel to ensure parts and equipment are available when required to avoid delay and improve task execution.
* Check daily work reports from shift fitters and ensure that accurate records of failures, repairs, replacements, and ancillary maintenance data are maintained.
* Investigate new maintenance methods of maintenance programs.
* Manage maintenance computerised systems by carrying out regular housekeeping activities, downloads, and corruption repairs in a timely manner to reduce interruptions to users.
* Organise all material and equipment required to carry out scheduled work. This would include parts, hire equipment and additional labour.
* Develop reports on a range of Asset Management KPIs.
* Maintain equipment manuals for all equipment.
* Participate in data analysis and interpretation, which will lead to improved work practices, system development and implementation, and designing out maintenance causing equipment.
* Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance of electrical equipment.
* Coordinate the development of the weekly work schedule by reviewing notifications, work orders, maintenance plan and labour availability.
* Chair and participate in machine shutdown planning meeting, schedule review meeting, shutdown progress meeting, post shutdown review meeting.
* Work with production and finishing teams (as required) to improve communication and interaction between operators and maintenance / engineering personnel.
* Drive continuous improvement in the maintenance department through a commitment to training and development, precision maintenance and a 'closed loop' approach.
What you'll bring
* Minimum Trade Certificate in Electrical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
* Minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar role with focus on manufacturing plant machinery and equipment, and with supervisory skills and experience.
* Good interpersonal / communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and improvement initiatives at the same time.
* Ability to plan and set priorities and deliver multiple outcomes under pressure.
* Passion and dedication for reliability and maintainability within a large manufacturing environment operating 24/7.
* SAP experience desired.
