The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Human Resources Officer to provide advice and support in the coordination of a wide range of human resource activities and operations. In this role, you would contribute to the effective delivery of human resource services by supporting managers and staff with timely guidance, information, and practical assistance across key people management processes.

A key responsibility of the role is coordination of leave and relief arrangements for both teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure adequate coverage in response to staff absences and operational requirements. This includes organising and allocating appropriate relief staff in a timely manner to maintain the smooth operation of the school. To ensure staffing arrangements are finalised prior to the commencement of the school day, the role requires commencing duties prior to 8.00 am each day.

The role also involves providing clear and accurate human resource advice and information to staff, helping ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently applied.

You would assist in coordinating and monitoring human resource management systems, including payroll processing and validation along with staff timetabling and rostering processes as required.

In addition, you will oversee pre-employment requirements, including managing Working with Children Checks and Criminal Screening processes to ensure compliance.
